Some very special "thank yous" go out to the following local businesses for their generous support of the CR "Rider" Marching Band program. Shown here with the business representatives are Drum Major Alana Weber and CRBPA President Scott Weber:

Mr. Papen, owner of Papen Farms   Fern, Regional Manager of Chik-Fil-A  Rich, owner of Curtiss Landing Pizza  Heather, employee of Fifer Orchards

Please visit these businesses as a thank you for their continued support throughout the years.

Check out the updated Jolesch Photography site for professional photos from ACCs. at http://jolesch.com/csEventPhotoBrowse.aspx?EventID=27393&Group=50317&Cat=0&PartID=0.

Please encourage your child to consider getting involved with the Blue-Gold All*Star Band benefiting the DFRC (Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with intellectual disABILITIES). While the Blue-Gold All*Star game will be played at the University of Delaware on June 18th, the band practices and meetings will be held in Dover. What a wonderful way to help an important organization while having fun with new friends from around the state. (It will also look good on a college application or resume!)  Forms are attached below. More information will be given at the next band parents meeting. Visit http://blue-gold.org/ to see what it is all about.

Band Member Permission Form                Band Member Verification Form

The due date for the forms is in May, but please send them in as soon as possible for the coordinators to get an idea of how many students will participate. Many activities go on throughout the school year on the weekends, although they are not all mandatory. Practices will not begin until June.

Congratulations to John Vitale for his selection to the 2011 US Army All-American Marching Band!!! (John is also the winner of  the 2010 Youth Competition, Dover Symphony Orchestra!)
